Bill Johnston is Founder and Principal of Structure3C, a strategy and advisory firm focused on helping develop vision and strategy to thrive in the Collaborative Economy. Prior to this, Bill served as Autodesk’s Director of Community and Customer Experience, where he oversaw social, community and content strategy for emerging products & services. Bill has also held a key role with Dell as Director of Online Community, leading global online community development and evolving the crowdsourcing strategy for the award winning IdeaStorm community. Bill pioneered the role of Chief Community Officer with Forum One Networks where he directed social media events, collaborative research projects, and led the company’s commercial consulting practice. Bill has also held previous senior positions with Autodesk, and helped launch TechRepublic.com in the late 90’s. Bill founded the Online Community Roundtable in 1995, which was the first Community Professional’s network.
